The Art and Craft of Copper Forging: From Raw Material to Timeless Art

What is the creative process when forging copper? Why every copper art product should be coated with the lacquer and burned?

The story behind the creation of copper art pieces - David Miro Copper art shop.

All the copper embossing for art items in the store are performed and made by hand only. The pieces of art in the store are made of silver-plated copper or blackened copper in order to maintain uniqueness and an impeccable finish.

The copper processing is as follows:

Initially, we receive the raw copper into the store and process it in a preliminary processing.

After that, an illustration is made in advance that includes the elements of the design or creation that is going to be embedded in the specific art item that we are going to make in relief.

Later, the stamping itself is done by hand, a work of art by David Miro or his son Dror that specializes in copper works.

When the stamping is done and the work of art is ready, it moves to the next stage of finishing and preservation for a long period of time.

The works of art are coated with lacquer and fired in the oven in order to maintain the brilliant color. The burning in the oven ensures that all the artworks will not turn black.

After all the processes have been carried out, the product is ready for sale, displayed on the store shelves, and ready to proceed to the home of the satisfied customer.
